People are born into this world, learn about the world and each other, and meet. They meet other people, but also problems and questions. They learn about beauty and pain, happiness and unhappiness. And despite all this, they try to remain themselves. These are the stories of our youth.

"Meetings" is a production based on etudes and what they learned in acting studios. The stories, ideas, and problems proposed by the youth are bound into a collage that is nonverbal in form, but narrative and psychological in content. Based on the troupe's stories, the production illustrates the language of physical theater that is on the minds of young people today, in this time.

On the other hand, the production is a cross-section of the studio work and development of the Tartu Student Theatre, for which the young actors have been working for a year. Starting with acting technique and ending with idea collection and staging of etudes, the audience will have an insight into the Tartu Student Theatre and its young generation, introducing its personal and creative side.

All religions have their own creation myth. Now Dada Circus has one too. According to the most important theologians, it is already among the ten most probable stories of the creation of the universe.

With the production "Genesis", Dada Circus brings to the stage its third surreal circus show and its own version of the history of creation.

Specially composed live music, acrobatics and juggling merge with physical theater and puppetry, creating a circus masterpiece; somewhere between slapstick and poetry.

Three higher beings with one goal: to create life in order to make themselves immortal. The absurd basis for a strange and clownish enterprise is created. They stumble inexorably from one failure to another and find their role in the process. But if the world shapes them, and not they the world, what then distinguishes them from humans and their destructive struggle for control? Giving life and taking life are two sides of the fantasy of omnipotence. As we know, after pride comes a fall, but what comes after that?

"Hommo in Maxima"

Deus ex machina is dead. Now begins the formation of hommo ex machina, which tries to become an emotionally complete and usable guide. Values are replaced by a written code of “life” – administrative instructions. They are squeezed into the mandatory productivity brackets of an Excel spreadsheet. It fits our mandatory criteria. Unfortunately, it does not care about honesty. So, it degenerates into Hommo in Maxima.

The VU Kinetic Theatre's dance performance “Hommo in Maxima” is an experiment that attempts to reflect the evolution of four values after Lithuania joined the European Union. Love, affection, a sense of security and understanding the meaning of life. Maybe love could simply be called a fun party experience? Maybe affection is just an addiction to brands and a sense of security is guaranteed by the mutual croaking of “us” and “them”. Then there is no point in looking for meaning, because it is buried under the tombstone of artificial intelligence responses and ego-inflating feelings.

During the performance, artists from the local Fire Theatre Zerkala will perform to add even more spice to the show. Zerkala has been operating in Tartu for over ten years, offering professional fire shows all over Estonia. Their performances are based on colorful characters and tell captivating stories through fire and dance elements.

NB! The performance is free for the audience, but donations in cash or via a web link are very welcome!

Big Flames and Little Disasters!” is a unique blend of breathtaking fire performance at the highest level, combined with clownish humor and theater. It has been specially developed for street art festivals with great passion and dedication.

Flame Rain Theatre impresses at every moment with the rich variety of its skills. One moment, explosive acrobatics and special effects take your breath away. The next moment, the audience is captivated by the poetry of harmonious dance choreographies. The show is constantly interrupted by small disasters and naughty interactions with the audience.

A fire show is a beautiful, but at the same time dangerous performance. It requires great precision and concentration. Jokes usually do not belong there, let alone pranks or accidents. But fortunately, things do not always go as they should. And even if the stage and the performers are in flames, one thing is certain:

THE SHOW MUST GO ON!
